The Road Captains and Maharanis:

Bernd: A geologist with fifteen years’ experience of traveling and living in India, Bernd has been a member of our team for the past seven years, guiding tours in the Himalayas (Nepal, Spiti and western Himalayas) and Rajasthan. Bernd is a mind worker, mountaineer and yogi.
 

Ellen: A former hair stylist, dedicated body worker, professional guide for southeastern Asia and veteran traveler of India, Ellen has been a friend of the house for years and knows many of the tours as a participant. She’s the most recent addition to our team, and so far has guided groups in Rajasthan, the Western Himalayas and Sri Lanka. Ellen is at home anywhere.

Martin: A 6th dan karate instructor and tai chi instructor, Martin has been living in Goa with his family for over 20 years and has been a part of our team for the last ten. He’s a guide for southern India, Ladakh, and Rajasthan. Martin is a passionate blues musician, beachball player and parent.

Peter: A former educator, photographer, bus driver and bar owner, Peter has been living in Goa for 17 years and is the organizer and communicator behind the scenes. In the past, he has guided all of our tours personally and can still be found in the saddle on most of our Ladakh, Sikkim & Bhutan, Tibet and Zanskar tours. Peter is a serious runner, body worker, dog lover and host of the Casa Tres Amigos.

Werner: A former motorcycle workshop owner and Enfield importer, senior mechanic, universal technical genius, extreme endurance athlete and veteran Indian traveler, Werner has been responsible for our entire fleet for the last four years. He currently enjoys showing groups around Goa and southern India, and will soon be deployed on the Himalayan tours as well. Werner is at home in Goa and Berlin.

Willy: A sociologist, mediator, diving instructor, tour guide, Indian traveler and experienced Enfield rider in Berlin, Willy is our new man in the Indian Himalayas. He will be launching his Road Captain career on the Ladakh and Zanskar tours. He is at home in Berlin.
