Sikkim and Bhutan
Kusuzangpo – that’s “Hello” in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan. Tucked away in the mountains between India and Tibet, centuries of religious isolation have shrouded it in mystery. Bhutan is gradually opening to tourism, yet only around 10,000 foreigners are permitted to visit the mountain kingdom every year, and individual travelers are not allowed in. From Darjeeling, the tour will take us to Sikkim, a state that has only been a part of the Indian Union since 1975. The third-highest mountain in the world, Kanchenjunga (8586 m), is located in Sikkim. Monasteries in spectacular landscapes, rugged ravines and lush vegetation await us. Sikkim was closed to the outside world for centuries, and even today it can’t be entered without a special permit. The sense of remoteness and mystery becomes even greater when crossing the border into the Land of the Thunder Dragon. We’ll be traveling through a country with a unique, pristine ecosystem, a land of snow-capped mountains, broad valleys with fertile rice paddies and orchards, tiny villages and lively market towns. Yet the south is covered in jungle and more reminiscent of India than the Himalayas. Bhutan is a thoroughly exotic country that stimulates all of the senses. Spectacular mountain ranges, rare plants and animals, ancient Buddhist monasteries and a mystical aura make the kingdom a unique, exclusive travel experience. And finally, our classic single-cylinder Royal Enfield Bullet 500cc motorcycles – relics of India’s colonial past that are still rolling off the production line today – will help make the tour truly unforgettable ...

Rajasthan Desert Dreams - The Palace Tour
Through fairytale India on 500cc Enfield Bullets
Rajasthan, once the home of the Rajput warriors, Maharajahs and Mogul rulers, is still the land of 1001 Nights. The intense hues of the mens’ turbans and women’s clothing are a dazzling contrast to the broad desert landscapes. Mighty fortresses line the ancient caravan routes between distant desert horizons and rugged mountain ranges. Fairytale palaces, oriental markets, extravagant artistic treasures and extreme contrasts even by Indian standards are guaranteed to fascinate even the most jaded traveler.
We’ll be taking our Enfields down endlessly straight, dusty desert highways to the golden city of Jaisalmer, where we continue briefly on camels. From there, we’ll continue to the blue city of Jodhpur with its impressive fort, a jewel of Mughal architecture. Winding mountain roads in the Aravalli range will take us up to the ancient Kumbalgarh fort and on to the enchanted streets of Udaipur, the Venice of the East. We then continue through little-known terrain into an entirely different world at Bambora. Finally, narrow country lanes will take us to Ranthambhore National Park and its majestic tigers.
The kaleidoscope of caravanserais, small desert castles, temples and palaces culminates with a visit to the Taj Mahal, the magnificent white marble monument to love that touches the heart of every traveler.

Zanskar & Ladakh Motorcycle Expeditions in the Indian Himalayas
Long strokes, open carbs and spectacular views We’ll be climbing the world’s highest motorable passes on our classic Royal Enfield Bullet 500s. Broad evergreen valleys and majestic, snowcapped ranges, ornate temples and meditative ceremonies, serenity and vibrant celebrations, bustling cities and remote wilderness, deep gorges and breathtaking passes – a motorcycle tour through the Himalayas is one of the last great adventures on this planet.
We offer two different bike tours to the “Roof of the World”:
1. LADAKH OVERLAND – the classic tour from Manali, crossing three 5,000-meter passes, into the ancient Buddhist kingdom of Ladakh along the Indus River.
We’ll be getting acclimatized in Kullu Valley, the Switzerland of India, at a hotel next to Nagar Castle, the former seat of the kings of Kullu. Once we leave the “civilized world” behind, we’ll be camping in spectacular settings and sleeping in remote mountain lodges. Our local crew will keep us supplied with food, water, fuel and spare parts, and will take care of the logistics and catering in our camps. Once we arrive in Ladakh, we’ll have 8 days to visit the renowned Hemis, Tikkse, Mathko, Likkir, Lamayauru and Alchi monasteries, and to ride up the Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable pass at 5,605 meters. The equally breathtaking Fatu La pass will take us back down into the lower Zanskar Valley to Chilling. In Leh, we’ll have time to shop and relax.
We’ve run this tour over 20 times since 1994, taking over 250 bikers onto the world’s highest pass.
2 . WILD ZANSKAR AND THE BEST OF LADAKH
This exciting tour will take us deep into the Himalayas, into the remote Zanskar Valley that until recently was only accessible on foot.
We start by flying from Delhi to Leh. From there, we’ll follow the Indus downstream toward the west until we reach the confluence of the Zanskar. Crossing the Fotu La pass (4,094 m), we’ll enter another river valley, the Sangeluma Chu. At its end, we’ll head up Namika La pass (3,720 m) and follow a mountain stream, the Wakh, to its confluence into the Suru near Kargil, the gateway to Zanskar Valley.
From Kargil, we'll head south into Baltistan’s Suru Valley. Our route will take us up the wild, rugged valley on a steady climb to Penzi La pass (4,400 m) and into the heart of Zanskar.
We’ll roll downhill past huge glaciers, taking it slowly and carefully on the rough track. Our destination is Padum, the end of the motorable world as we know it...
After exploring Zanskar, enough time will remain to get to know the highlights of the Indus Valley. We’ll be visiting the Likkir, Tikkse and Hemis monasteries and spending the night in Chilling on the lower Zanskar River, as well as in the Alchi oasis. One of the genuine high points of this tour – literally – is our ride up the world’s highest motorable road, the Khardung La pass (5,605 m).

Goa Bike & Beach Holidays
Goa, for 450 years, a Portuguese colony and since 1961 in the Indian union, lies on the west coast of the Indian subcontinent. Goa became famous for its scenic beauty, the palmtree woods and the endlessly long, white sandy beaches, and also for its charming, extremely hospitable people, who know how to turn each holiday into a party.
Goa offers the visitor an unexpected, varied picture - an attractive mix of Indian and mediterranean european culture: colorful sarees and robes, exotic flowers and birds, oriental bazaars and mediterranean markets, well-preserved medieval forts and churches, Goa is today one the wealthiest Indian states, and certainly the most life enjoying.
106 kilometers long are the often still untouched goan beaches, undescribable the colorful sunsets over the Arabic Sea. Add to this a Sundowner - cocktail and dinner with fresh fish and seafood, and even, we, stressed Europeans, perceive the famous "Take It Easy" - feeling, the "Sossegado", as the Goans call it. The temperatures help to forget the European winter, with daytime temperatures always around 30°C.
At night temperature rarely falls below 20°C, and the sea water never gets colder than 25 degrees. In an extremely attractive landscape, characterized by evergreen rice fields, cashew, mango and coconut plantations, all visitors to Goa will experience eventful days in a beach paradise.
