1. The Lightbox function and Ctrl + F5 (displaying images in high resolution)
When building this site, we placed a lot of value on high-quality images. Unfortunately, that always means striking a balance between loading times and image resolution.
All of the images on this site feature a so-called Lightbox function.
Thanks to Lightbox, you can view them at maximum resolution in a pop-up. Lightbox automatically adjusts to suit your screen resolution – the bigger your screen, the bigger the Lightbox.
The function is only available once the page has loaded completely, however.
That's no problem on a broadband connection. However, if you're using UMTS or other slow connections, you may need to press Ctrl + F5 to reload the page completely before you can use Lightbox.
One exception in this regard is the new Google Chrome browser. It displays the Lightbox while on a UMTS/HSDPA connection despite optimization. The Chrome browser is a bit controversial with regard to data privacy, however, so using it is a matter of personal discretion. I personally use Chrome because of its clean user interface and speed.
2. The CBA Community
Many of our tour participants have become good friends, and so we would like to provide a communication platform with the new features (Guest Book and Forum) of this site. We deliberately avoided bloated forum software and chose the SimplestForum plug-in as our tool – it provides basic forum functionality, and that's really all we need. Security issues with other forum components on the market also played a role in our decision.
We're relying on you to help bring the Forum to life. Please be careful when publishing e-mail addresses and private information, as anyone can view the Forum.

3. The Joomla CMS system
We’ve deployed a content management system (CMS) to help us keep this site as fresh as possible. Several editors are currently working on its content. CMS has many advantages. In the past, our webmaster was the only person who had access – and he was stuck with all the work. Now, we can edit and update the pages at any time, from anywhere in the world.

Together with our webmaster Stephan, we put in a lot of hours to make this the best possible site. We'd be delighted to hear from you with comments, suggestions or corrections to our content. We promise to review them and incorporate them as appropriate.
