Dear Classic Bike Adventure Friends

It’s been a while since you last received a newsletter from us.
We have been waiting for some good news to report and indeed there is now light at the end of the “Covid tunnel”.
We are in good spirits, and we are looking forward to finally starting our tours in Asia again.
The next adventures await you!

News: Nepal, Thailand, India

NEPAL has reopened its borders for vaccinated travelers, there is no longer a requirement for quarantine, other restrictive measures are not in place. Our local partners and friends tell us that the first tourists are again roaming the Thamel district in the heart of Kathmandu.
This comes just in time for our ROAD TO MUSTANG NEPAL TOUR, which will take place from 07 Nov – 21 Nov. We still have a few spots available and it would be a shame if they were not used. Of course, only for those who can endure some inconvenience, such as a PCR test before and after the trip.

The situation in THAILAND is also easing. On 01 July the country has started to open its borders with the “Phuket Sandbox” re-opening model. Vaccinated travelers have been able to enter Phuket since this date and can move freely on the resort island without quarantine. According to the official announcement, other parts of the country are expected to open up on 15 October, including Chiang Mai, where our NORTH THAILAND MOTORCYCLE TOUR from 06 Nov – 20 Nov will take place. At this point in time, hardly any details are known in regards to the new Corona entry rules, but we are optimistic that we can carry out the tour.

There are also some positive news from INDIA:

RC Vinod writes: “Here in India, life is slowly returning to its normal course. The Covid cases are decreasing and in the Indian Himalayas and in Goa the majority of the population over the age of 18 is vaccinated. The Himalayan region was little affected during the last wave. Since traveling within India is allowed without restrictions, we look forward to organizing our first Enfield adventure “after Corona” soon.
Unfortunately there is still no tourist visa for India, but we would like to try and organize a South India tour as soon as India opens up again. You can now pre-register without obligation and we do not expect a deposit for the time being.
The next scheduled date for our CLASSIC SOUTH INDIA TOUR through Goa is 27 Nov – 11 Dec 2021 & 29 Jan – 12 Feb 2022.
Our GOA TO KERALA TOUR will take place from 19 Feb – 07 Mar 2022.

Many thanks at this point to Hans Christoph Schilling for the beautiful PHOTOBOOK. Hans Christoph rode with us through southern India a few years ago and the photobook is an atmospheric “appetizer”. Beware, it could lead to wanderlust 😉.

Life goes on in CHINA & TIBET too!

The team from our partner company Tibetmoto organized several tours in Yunnan and Sichuan (southwest China) with foreign riders living in China. Here are some impressions from on-the-road.

It will take some more time until we will get our old lifes back, but a lot is now rolling in the right direction!
